UK : 2 PhD students in Computer Science on the MOVERE project required in University of Luxembourg

The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancies within its Lassy Laboratory in the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication.

2 PhD students in Computer Science (M/F) on the MOVERE project

• Ref : F1R-CSC-PFN-09IS02
• 2-year contract, renewable once, 40 hours/week
• Student and employee status

Area: Adding resilience to a DSL by language composition

Mission:

• Prepare a doctoral thesis in Computer Science
• Build, based on theories and tools for meta model composition, a tool and a methodology allowing the composition of specified resilience constructs and a domain of specific DSL. The study will be based on case studies that the laboratory is building around e-finance, e-business and e-health.

Profile:

• Master in Computer Science, a specialisation in Software Engineering would be a plus
• Good background in language (preferably DSL) development and some experience with formal methods.
• Some knowledge of resilient systems in a plus.
• Excellent knowledge in English (spoken and written), knowledge of French is a plus

Area : Model checking of resilience features

Mission:

• Prepare a doctoral thesis in Computer Science
• Achieve operationally by model-checking validation of models including resilience

Profile :

• Master in Computer Science
• Good background in model checking and some experience with formal methods.
• Some knowledge of resilient systems is a plus
• Excellent knowledge in English (spoken and written), knowledge of French is a plus
