PhD positions

at the Department of Theology: Starting date: 1 September 2010.

Application for a place on the programme for studies at research level at the Faculty of Theology for the year 2010 should be made on the form intended for the purpose. Applications can be made for studies in the following subjects:
History of Religions, Sociology of Religions, Psychology of Religions, Old Testament Exegetics, New Testament Exegetics, Church History, Ecclesiology, Studies of Mission, Systematic Theology and Studies in World Views, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion

Information: Information on admissions requirements, application forms etc. can be found on the website of the Department of Theology, http://www.teol.uu.se/Education/Postgraduate_studies or by contacting Ann-Kristin Eriksson (ann-kristin.eriksson@teol.uu.se), phone number +46 18-471 2174. Admission can only happen under the condition that both finance and supervisor’s time is available. Admission will therefore only be possible within a limited number of the subject areas above. Applications which make no mention of approached supervisor will not be considered.

Application: To write the application both the application form and general syllabus for the subject concerned are needed. By using the later you should check that you fulfil both general and particular entrance requirements for studies at research level in the subject. As you compile your application you may have use of the faculty’s guidelines for the application process for studies at research level, assessment criteria and requirements for the project description which is at the centre of your application. Make contact in good time with a lecturer/professor at the faculty who is willing to function as a supervisor if you should be accepted.
