SCALing by means of Ubiquitous Storage (SCALUS)

The consortium of this Marie Curie Initial Training Network (MCITN) "SCALing by means of Ubiquitous Storage (SCALUS)" aims at elevating education, research, and development inside this exciting area with a focus on cluster, grid, and cloud storage.

SCALUS is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (MCITN) and therefore focuses on the education of early stage researchers, so called ESRs, within their first four year's after obtaining a master degree. The Ph.D. training inside SCALUS will be performed as training-through-research, local training, and network-wide training, including secondments and internships. The full strength of the MCITN is generated by the network-wide training and secondments, which do not only include an initial training school, summer schools, workshops, and the training of complementary skills, but will be the foundation for a network of researchers and companies that will help all network partners to be competitive inside a demanding and ever-changing environment.
