Italy : Phd in Statistics-4 Phd Scholarships

Addmission to the 26th cycle - starting 1 October 2010.

In order to be admitted, candidates must have been awarded one of the following degrees on or before September  30th, 2010:

• an Italian university degree (laurea) - pre-reform regime (4 years);
• an Italian 'laurea specialistica' (3+2 years);
• an equivalent academic degree conferred by foreign institutions, recognised as equivalent to an Italian degree by the relevant academic authorities - e.g. a university higher degree equivalent to a Master’s degree – which also takes into account inter-university specific agreements of cooperation and mobility.

Application deadline: 22 June 2010

The candidates’ selection procedure will take place immediately after the deadline and will be completed by July 10th

Activities will start on 1st  October 2010

Total number of Positions: 8

Number of positions sponsored by grants of the University of Bologna: 4

Additional scholarships may be offered, if additional funding becomes available after the publication of the present announcement, but before the start of the course.

The net yearly amount of scholarships is Euro 12460,  paid in monthly installments, at the end of each month.
