PhD student position in Multi Sensor Systems

with placement at the School of Engineering in Karlskrona.

The research project deals with an intelligent measurement system, a part of Intelligent Vision Agent System, which gathers data in order to reconstruct 3D information. The project focuses on development, design and implementation of a high-performance autonomous distributed information system. The results can be applies in many fields especially for health and medical care, security and surveillance, but even for control. The project covers several engineering subjects such as measurement and instrumentation, sensoring, signal and image processing, and vision system. The research methods are based on theoretical modeling, simulation and particularly physical experiments.

General Information

The position refers to research studies, teaching and administration within the school's area of operation and/or common service work.

Appointment

For a PhD position it is required that the applicant will be admitted to postgraduate studies at BTH.

Qualifications

Master's degree in any of the fields of electrical engineering, engineering physics or equivalent. Knowledge of signal analysis, measurement and instrumentation, sensoring and image processing would be an advantage.

Commencement

By agreement. 

Salary

For PhD students at BTH a standard salary scale is applied, which means that the salary is adjusted upwards as the PhD student progresses throughout the programme.
