Germany : PhD student position is available to work on a project in the field of polyglutamine

The DZNE (Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen) is a newly created center of excellence within the Helmholtz Association that is engaged in translational research on neurodegenerative diseases. The center includes a major site in Bonn and additional sites in Goettingen, Magdeburg, Munich, Rostock/Greifswald, Tuebingen and Witten

A PhD student position is available to work on a project in the field of polyglutamine diseases. We seek enthusiastic and highly motivated students at the end of their master or diploma to join the group led by Dr. Sybille Krauß at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Bonn. Fluency in English, good communication skills and capacity for teamwork are necessary. Our lab aims to identify regulatory RNA-protein interactions that play a role in neurodegenerative diseases. We are using a broad panel of molecular and cell biological methods including cultures and manipulations of primary neurons and cell lines, mouse models, and confocal imaging. Payment is corresponding to half of the TVöD (Public Sector Collective Agreement) salary group 13. The job location is Bonn, Germany.
