A number of three-year PhD scholarships are available at the PhD School in Lifelong Learning and Social Psychology of Everyday Life at the Department of Psychology and Educational Studies (PAES), Roskilde University. The department carries out research and education in the intersection between humanities and social science in a broad approach to psychology, education, learning, organisations/institutions and everyday life. The scholarships are within the following areas:

The conditions of employment are in accordance with the agreement by the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
 
The application must encompass (in this order):
1.      application form: http://ruc.dk/ruc_en/research/PhD/forms/skema_1/
2.      Project description (4-6 pages)
3.      Schedule – time-frame of the PhD
4.      Budget (only if special costs are incurred due to particular empirical studies – or longer stays overseas)
5.      CV
6.      Copies of relevant diplomas and exam-papers
7.      Copies of relevant recommendations and dissertation statement/statements
 
The project description must describe the area of interest, the considered methods, and the theoretical approaches.
The purpose of the project description is to enable the PhD school to consider the relevance of the project, possible supervisors as well as the likelihood of completion with the timeframe and resources a three-year PhD scholarship provides.
In this aspect a time frame is of great importance. It serves as basis for assessing whether the candidate has a realistic estimation of what one is able to complete in three years.
The budget should not include own salary. It is solely a budget for special expenses either related directly to the project (interview transcriptions, advanced statistical analyses, etc.) or special expenses to study/travel abroad during the education.
