USA : Postdoctoral fellowship in prostate cancer

The Department of Medicine (Hematology and Oncology) and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellows to carry out research in the area of development of novel therapies for endocrine cancers, in particular prostate cancer. The successful candidate will work very closely with a physician-scientist and will play a key role in cutting edge research activities leading to the clinical development of new therapeutics for prostate cancer. 
   
  This position offers a salary commensurate with experience and opportunities for advancement. Highly skilled and experienced applicants will be considered for a position at the level of Instructor. Motivated individuals with experimental background in prostate cancer and nuclear receptors (androgen receptor, estrogen receptor) are encouraged to apply.
   
  Minimum qualifications: Candidates must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, with organizational skills and effective at working and interacting with others as part of a team. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects is expected. 
  
  Education/ Experience required: PhD and at least 2 years of prior post-doctoral experience are required. Technical expertise in basic molecular and cellular techniques, including cell culture, transfections/transductions, siRNA, molecular cloning, plasmid isolation, and animal studies are a necessity.
