Switzerland : UNIGE SCHOLARSHIP OF EXCELLENCE For Women

Each year in May the University of Geneva opens a competition for two or three post-doctoral positions concerning female researchers at advanced post-doctoral level.  The criteria are the following : personal and scientific ability to plan and complete successfully a project over three years; potential for a high-level university career; quality of the scientific research; scientific independence; mobility; good scientific and personal integration in the unit in which she will work. A scientific commission will select candidates who will be assessed by international experts.

During this three years grant, the UNIGE Scholars of Excellence will pursue the research project submitted in their application and enrich their scientific profile. At some stage of the programme, they should be able to apply successfully for a SNSF Professorship. The project includes monitoring of the scientific projects and of the beneficiaries’ career plans by professors.
