A total of 27 positions in the following subject areas:

• 4 positions in Molecular Biophysics (in partnership with IIT-Italian Institute of Technology)
• 4 positions in Chemistry
• 5 positions in Physics
• 3 positions in Condensed Matter Physics (in partnership with the Istituto di Nanoscienze del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (hereafter: CNR) [ research activity ]
• 2 positions in Condensed Matter Physics (in partnership with the Silvio Tronchetti Provera Foundation and with the IIT-Italian Institute of Technology) [ research activity ]
• 5 positions in Mathematics
• 3 positions in Mathematics for Industrial Technologies or for Finance (in partnership with the INGV-National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and with the Consorzio Pisa Ricerche)
• 1 position in Neurobiology

Requirements

• In possession of a MS, MSc or equivalent to be completed no later than 31 October 2011
• results from the ETS - GRE – General Test and the GRE-Subject Test (http://www.ets.org/gre/) if the MS/MSc was not completed in a nation member of the European Higher Education Area (http://www.ehea.info/members.aspx)
• Applicants must be under 30 years of age on the closing date.
• knowledge of English or Italian

Specific prerequisites for candidates applying for the positions in Condensed Matter Physics are:

1. not to have resided in or in any event carried out in Italy the prevalent activity for more than twelve months in the three years preceding this Call’s deadline
2. an MS/MSc attained not more than four years ago in one of the following majors: Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, or equivalent in the case of degrees attained outside Italy
3. not to have completed a PhD or equivalent (candidates must expressly state their position in the application)
4. fluent English.
