Denmark : 6 Postdoctoral Fellowship positions at the Dark Cosmology Centre

About the positions
Brahe Fellow 1 (MPA) - joint prize Fellowship at DARK and with Dr. Eiichiro Komatsu, the new Director of the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) in Garching, Germany.
Brahe Fellow 2 (KIPAC) - joint prize Fellowship at DARK and with Dr. Steven Allen, at KIPAC (Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology) at Stanford University, California.
The Sophie and Tycho Brahe Fellows pursue an independent research program. The Brahe Fellow is expected to work for two years at DARK in Copenhagen and one to two years at the other sponsoring institution. Other arrangements for the appointment will also be considered. The Brahe Fellows have access to the resources of both institutions and will be provided with travel support for extensive visits between them.
4 DARK Fellow positions
DARK Fellows will pursue their own independent research programs in one of the areas related to DARK´s research themes. Appointments are for 2 years from the fall of 2012, with the possibility of extension for a further year. One of the Fellows will work with Dr. Johan Fynbo on on a project related imaging and spectroscopy of Damped Lyman-alpha absorbers and gamma-ray 
burst afterglows as part of a significant grant project funded by the European Research Commission´s FP7 IDEAS program.
Qualifications
Selection of the successful candidates will be made by an international committee where the principal selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments and promise of future achievement.
Terms of salary, work, and employment for all positions
The employment is scheduled to start in the fall of 2012, or upon agreement with the chosen candidates. The positions are for a period of 2 years with the possibility of extension.
Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Government and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). In addition to the basic salary a monthly contribution to a pension fund is added (17.1% of the salary). The base salary depends seniority, approximately 31,000-33,000 DKK/month (4,100-4,400 euro/month). A supplement can be negotiated, depending on experience and qualifications.
