The early stage researcher/PhD student will be a member of the LCMI research unit (Language, Culture, Media and Identities) within the Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education at the University of Luxembourg. He/she will work under supervision of Prof. Dr. Adelheid Hu.

Your Role
•Writing of a thesis with a focus on migration and language learning in multilingual societies•Contribute to research in the field of multilingual education and literacies
•Contribute to teaching in the domains of multilingual education and literacies and methods of research in education
•Participate in an international network of scholars
Your profile
•Master’s degree or a diploma in a discipline concerned with multilingualism and language learning (i.e. Language Pedagogy, Applied Linguistics or Translation Studies etc.)•Profound knowledge of theories on multilingualism, migration and multilingual education
•Experiences in qualitative research
•Excellent command of the following languages: German, English, French; competences in a non-European language are most welcome.
