France : POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN HEALTH GEOGRAPHY

Sponsored Links

This postdoctoral fellow will work on a research project entitled: Associations between Mental health and Quality of the Residential Environment: a Spatial Approach at a Fine Geographic Scale (SaMeQualE). This project will study the associations between the use of psychotropic drugs and different dimensions of the quality of the residential environment in Marseille, France. A grid will be developed to conduct the study at a fine geographic scale.
Data collected at the finest scale available will be integrated in a geographic information system (ArcGIS). Indicators of environmental quality will be constructed at a fine scale by implementing methods of disaggregation and data analyses. The analysis of associations between environmental quality and use of psychotropic drugs, independent of individual factors and factors associated with the supply of health care and physicians, will be conducted using multilevel analyses and taking spatial autocorrelation into account.
