Sweden : PhD student position in Thin Film Physics

Job description
We are looking for a PhD student who wants to work with new III-V based hybrid structures for light emitting diodes. Such hybrids combine advantages of epitaxially grown semiconductor quantum wells with inexpensive polymers or colloidal nanoparticles having efficient luminescence in the visible region. These structures are promising for fabrication of low-cost and highly efficient light sources that can be used in full-color displays, imaging systems, miniature chemical and biological sensors. Our group has leading competence within optical and structural characterization as well as within different growth techniques. You are expecting to work with fabrication and optical and structural characterization of hybrid nanostructures.

Requirements
We welcome applications from talented candidates with strong motivation and experimental skills. The applicant should have a M.S. degree in applied physics, chemistry or similar.
