Research fellowships

 

The Institute grants a limited number of research fellowships to guest scholars coming from abroad and staying at the Institute for up to six months. In exceptional cases a prolongation is possible. Those interested in a fellowship may apply at any time to one of the directors. The application should include a CV, a list of publications and an outline of the research project, as well as for younger scholars two letters of reference concerning the applicant and the project. Fellowships are generally granted to persons applying from developing countries or transitional economies. Fellowships are not granted to applicants taking a doctoral degree in Germany or in another industrial state.
 
The Institute’s philosophy is to interact closely with its guests. For this purpose it would be helpful to indicate within the application to which Institute’s project the research can be connected. Relevant information can be found in the Activity Report 2006-2007 (Tätigkeitsbericht) and the Institute’s presentation in the Internet.

Guest 

The Institute enables a limited number of visiting guest scholars to make use of the Insitute faculties including the library at their own expence. Those interested may apply at any time to one of the directors. The application should include a CV, a list of publications and an outline of the research project, as well as for younger scholars two letters of reference concerning the applicant and the project.
