Research Topic : Molecular microbiology
Supervisors : Dr. Peter Dunfield, Dr. Julio Mercader
Theme: Microbial degradation of organic molecules of interest to Archaeology. Project will include DNA-based analysis of microbial communities.
Challenges and barriers to innovation: Understanding long-term preservation and formation of recalcitrant forms of carbohydrates.
