DTU Wind Energy invites highly talented candidates to apply for PhD scholarships. We expect to hire approximately 10 candidates and the starting date must be during 2017.

Your own proposal
You may also submit your own project proposal. In this case you are required first to contact a potential supervisor directly in order to agree on the project description and supervision.

Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering.
Approval and Enrolment
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students.
The period of employment is 3 years.
The place of work is DTU Risø Campus in Roskilde near Copenhagen, Denmark.

- A letter motivating the application (cover letter) including why you are interested in and qualified for a specific project (max. 1 page)
- Curriculum vitae
- Grade transcripts and BSc/MSc diploma
- Excel sheet with translation of grades to the Danish grading system (see guidelines and excel spreadsheet here – in the right hand column).
When sending in your application, please pay attention to fill in all fields correctly. In the field “Please indicate which position(s) you would like to apply for” please indicate which section you are most interested in working with. In your letter of motivation you may indicate more sections of your interest.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates may apply prior to obtaining their master's degree, but cannot begin before having received it.
