A number of PhD scholarships are available at DTU Informatics with a starting date in the spring 2010.

The subject of the PhD thesis must be within one of the main research areas of the department:

• Algorithms and Logic
• Embedded Systems Engineering
• Image Analysis and Computer Graphics
• Cognitive Systems
• Language-Based Technology
• Mathematical Statistics
• Scientific Computing
• Software Engineering

Qualifications
Candidates should hold an M.Sc. degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to an M.Sc. degree in engineering.

DTU Scholarships
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programs at DTU.

The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current Danish rules for PhD students.

Applications in the form of one original hard copy and one PDF file (electronically submitted) must be submitted to Be-te Elsebeth Strøm at the address indicated above.

• A curriculum vitae;
• Documentation for MSc degree;
• A personal application directed to the Dean of Graduate Studies and International Affairs
• Recommendation Institutudtalelse (in Danish; must be filled out by your potential supervisor).

Please note: The application must be submitted in co-operation with a potential supervisor. The evaluation form is a confirmation of this. It is the responsibility of the applicant to contact a potential supervisor and ask for an endorsement.
