Ireland : 2 PhD Research Studentships-University of Dublin, Trinity College

Applications are invited for two funded Ph.D. positions in the
Knowledge and Data Engineering Research Group (KDEG), School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin. KDEG enjoys a
world-class reputation in the areas of knowledge driven information
systems and intelligent systems. The successful candidate will have an
excellent academic record (first class primary degree or a
postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.Sc.) in Computer Science, or
related discipline. They will be highly motivated, with strong
communication skills and proficiency for software development.

The successful candidates will have knowledge and experience in one or
more of the following areas:
Information Visualisation
Information Modelling
Service and Network Management
Model driven software development
Policy Based Management
Semantic Web Technologies
Personalisation and Adaptive Systems
Network Management
Industrial/Academic Research

These Ph.D. positions are for three years duration, starting at the
latest in October 2009 and are supported under the Science Foundation
Ireland (SFI) Strategic Research Cluster (SRC) programme, comprising
several Irish and Multi-national academic and commercial
organisations. The position includes payment of academic fees and a tax-exempt annual stipend of 18,000 euro.
